The Basics - From Discord to Midjourney
Alright, let's break it down. First thing's first. Fire up Discord.
You're gonna want to cozy up next to Midjourney, which is where we’re going to create that artistic masterpiece we're about to breathe life into. Having a clear idea and a well-crafted image can work wonders when you switch gears to runwayML. Here was mine:
Kicking it Up with RunwayML Gen2
Once you're on runwayML, it's time to call upon the wonder that is the GEN two tool. This little magic wand transforms your static image into a living, breathing video clip. It's pure wizardry! After the tool works its magic, go ahead and save your freshly-minted video right onto your desktop. Keep it safe; you’ll need it.
First 4 seconds!
Getting Cozy with ChatGPT and the Code Interpreter
Now, we're heading over to chatGPT, a place you're soon going to know like the back of your hand. Basically, we’re using its Code Interpreter. Just ask it to do what you want:
I need to extract the last frame of an mp4 can you do that
Example: click the link it produces to download the frame.
The Endless Runway - Merging Videos with Ease
Hang on tight, because we're looping back again to runwayML. You’re going to take that sweet last frame from your initial video and upload it back into RunwayML. Then, let it create another video and keep on repeating this process. I'm talking rinse-and-repeat, groundhog-day stuff until you've got a Monty Python’s holy grail of clips.
(I added a soundtrack to mine)
And don't worry, you're not doing this manually. The Code Interpreter will sort it out for you. Just ask it to merge your video files, and it will do all the heavy lifting. Sometimes, you may need to download and run the Python code onto your local computer, but there's usually an easier way (Veed.io).
And yes, you've successfully busted through the confines of the usual RunwayML 4-second limit. So, congratulations and welcome to the world of mind-boggling, limitless video creation. Now, get cracking!
Not on this topic, but it's a topic that influences just about everything .... Yes, always follow the money, but to figure out why the world is as backwards as it is, we should follow the “incentives.”
