Tinder is introducing a new AI-powered Photo Verification feature which requires users to take a video selfie instead of a photo to be verified and receive a blue check. This is to make the app safer and weed out spammers. In the coming months, users will also be able to restrict their chats to only those members who are also Photo Verified.

This is part of an effort to reduce Russia's reliance on foreign imports. Other countries, such as China and the US, have also launched their own chatbot alternatives. Elon Musk is also reportedly working on an alternative to ChatGPT, called TruthGPT.
Apple is reportedly building a paid AI health coach
Apple is reportedly working on a paid AI-powered service called Quartz that helps users with exercise, sleep, and eating habits. It will be released next year, along with new health features such as an iPad Health app and emotion tracker. Apple already has health-focused tools, such as its Fitness Plus service and medication tracking, and is working on a mixed reality headset with a meditation app. A noninvasive blood glucose monitoring feature is reportedly in the works, but may take a long time to become a reality.

OpenAI has applied for a trademark for "GPT" (which stands for "Generative Pre-trained Transformer") but their petition was recently dismissed due to an associated fee not being paid. It may take up to five months for a decision, but OpenAI has a good chance of securing the patent due to the descriptive origin of the name "GPT" and the fact that they have been using the name for years.

Yelp launched new updates to enhance its AI-powered search experience, including the ability to add videos to reviews and new interactive review topics. They are also introducing 'Yelp Guaranteed' which provides satisfaction guarantees and a new login experience that doesn't require users to remember a password. Lastly, they have redesigned the photo viewing experience to include AI-driven photo categories and a new sort feature.
